Smooth vanilla sweetness with woody undertones and a hint of citrus.
Olmeca Altos Reposado is a premium tequila that showcases the rich heritage of Mexican craftsmanship. This spirit represents the perfect balance between tradition and modern distillation techniques, offering an exceptional drinking experience.
How It's Made
Crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave piñas are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens and crushed using a traditional tahona wheel. After distillation, the tequila is aged for 6-8 months in ex-bourbon oak barrels, developing its distinct character and complexity.
Taste Profile
The aging process in oak barrels imparts a beautiful golden hue and creates a harmonious blend of flavors:
- Nose: Sweet vanilla and cooked agave with subtle oak notes
- Palate: Smooth entry with vanilla sweetness, followed by woody undertones
- Finish: Medium-length finish with hints of citrus and warm spice
Territory
Produced in the Los Altos (Highland) region of Jalisco, Mexico, where the iron-rich red soil and high altitude create perfect growing conditions for Blue Weber Agave. This terroir contributes to the tequila's distinctive sweet and fruity character.
Fun Facts
