Borgogno
Crisp and vibrant, featuring green apple and citrus with a characteristic mineral finish.
The Era Ora Langhe Riesling represents a unique expression of the renowned Riesling varietal in the heart of Piedmont. This innovative project by Borgogno showcases their commitment to exploring new possibilities within their historic terroir.
Winemaking
The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and undergo a gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the delicate aromatic profile characteristic of Riesling. The wine then ages on its fine lees for several months before bottling.
Taste Profile
Era Ora presents with a brilliant straw-yellow color with subtle green reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and distinctive mineral notes. On the palate, it shows remarkable freshness and vibrancy, with flavors of green apple, lime, and wet stone, complemented by a characteristic petrol note typical of Riesling.
Territory
The Langhe region, traditionally known for its powerful red wines, provides an interesting terroir for Riesling cultivation. The calcareous-clay soils and the specific microclimate of the selected vineyards contribute to the wine's unique character, combining Germanic grape variety traits with distinctly Italian terroir expression.
